Survalent Technology Commissions New SCADA System for Jo-Carroll Energy with N-Dimension Solution’s Cyber Security
Mississauga, ON, June 1, 2010 - Survalent Technology, a leading provider of smart grid solutions to utilities, announced that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Jo-Carroll Energy.
Headquartered in Elizabeth, Illinois, Jo-Carroll Energy is a not-for-profit distribution cooperative. They serve approximately 26,000 electric and natural gas accounts in the three counties of Jo Daviess, Carroll and Whiteside, and maintain more than 2,053 miles of line and 153 miles of natural gas pipe.
The new system features Survalent’s highly available, dual-redundant, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. The feature-rich system incorporates many of Survalent’s open system applications, including: MultiSpeak 3.0 interfaces, Virtual RTU, DNP3.0 IP, and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The system also incorporates N-Dimension’s cyber security platform for critical infrastructure protection.
