GE Appoints Two Company Officers and One Senior Vice President
Fairfield, November 18, 2009 - GE announces the appointment of two new company officers and one senior vice president. GE currently has 187 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below is the list of GE’s two new officers:
Tina Donikowski, 50, is vice president of propulsion systems and services at GE Transportation, a business within GE Technology Infrastructure. A graduate of GE’s Operations Management Leadership Program, Donikowski has held numerous leadership roles throughout her 32 years at GE.
Prior to her current position, Donikowski was general manager of business operations at GE Transportation where she led the expansion of the business into adjacent markets such as mining, marine and wind energy. Donikowski also led quality at GE Transportation and held key roles in marketing, sales, sourcing and operations.
Donikowski received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Ricardo Silva, 50, is chief financial officer and vice president of GE Power & Water, a business within GE Energy Infrastructure. Silva began his career at GE as a member of the Financial Management Leadership Program.
Silva has held several leadership roles across GE’s financial services business, GE Capital, including: chief financial officer of GE Capital’s Fleet Services and Structured Finance businesses as well as deputy treasurer for GE Capital.
Prior to becoming the CFO of GE Power & Water, Silva was the chief financial officer of Aviation Financial Services, GE Capital’s commercial aircraft and aircraft engines financing business.
Silva earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Darden School at the University in Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
GE also announced the promotion of one leader to senior vice president:
John Flannery, 48, was recently appointed to president and CEO of GE’s business operations in India. In this new role, Flannery will oversee GE's new approach to India, which will consolidate all businesses into one team with an integrated strategy. This team will help GE grow in India through local partnerships, technology leadership and strategic investments.
Since 2005, Flannery has built a similar model for GE Capital across Asia. When president and CEO for the region, Flannery oversaw all of GE's financial services businesses.
Flannery is a 22-year veteran of GE and previously held a series of sales leadership and finance roles in GE Capital. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fairfield University and a master's degree in finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
