Seminole Energy Names Brent McDaniel V.P., Marketing and Business Development


Tulsa, Okla., June 27, 2007 - Seminole Energy Services, LLC (www.seminoleenergy.com), announced today that Brent McDaniel has been appointed vice president of Marketing and Business Development. In that role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s expansion of its retail and wholesale marketing efforts into the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, as well as leading Seminole’s producer services and midstream activities in the Appalachian and Illinois Basins.  

“Brent has more than 20 years of diversified oil and gas industry experience, ranging from exploration, gas marketing, origination and trading, asset acquisitions, and major project development,” said Robert (Bob) Rosene, chief executive officer of Seminole. “Particularly at this stage of the company’s growth, he is an ideal addition to our senior management team,” he added.  

Prior to joining Seminole, McDaniel was senior vice president of Business Development of Atmos Energy Holdings in Houston, Texas. In 1996, McDaniel joined Woodward Marketing, LLC, the predecessor of Atmos Energy Marketing, where he served in various senior-level positions in marketing, operations and business development for 11 years. Prior to joining Woodward Marketing, McDaniel was managing partner of Morningstar Gas Company, a marketing and supply aggregation company that he co-founded in 1991, and earlier in his career, he held management positions with Somoco, Inc., and Farrar Oil Company, both Illinois-based independent exploration companies with activities in the Michigan, Illinois, and Black Warrior Basins.  

McDaniel earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from Southern Illinois University and attended graduate school at the University of Chicago.
