Description
Seeking a full-time mid-level Electrical Engineer to work in our Substation Design Department in our Kansas City office (located in Lenexa, KS). A BSEE degree is required, a degree from an accredited University with a Power Option would be a plus and having a PE is preferred. Four (4) to six (6) years experience in utility substation design is preferred. The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to perform detail design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations to include one-line diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, construction cost estimates and project scheduling. Experience in 15kV through 500kV substation design preferred. Some Travel will be required. EEO/AA Employer
