Power Engineer - 1st & 2nd Class
Power Engineer is a nationally recognized occupational title that includes Stationary Engineers, Steam Plant Operators or Steam Engineers but does not include Electrical Engineering or equivalent occupations in this context. Alternate titles for this position would include 1st or 2nd Class Stationary Engineer or 1st or 2nd Class Steam Engineer.
An individual with an Interprovincial 1st or 2nd class ticket, would be responsible to supervise, direct and participate in the efficient operation of plant turbines, generators, boilers, emission control systems and associated auxiliaries to meet operating standards and generation requirements. The ability to perform physically demanding work is required. Our ideal candidate requires a 1st or 2nd Class Engineer's Certificate and 3 years' experience.
These positions fall within the scope of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 2067.
Candidates under consideration will be required to participate in an assessment process consisting of an/all of the following: interview, abilities test, case study and/or presentation.
