This position reports to the manager of the Support Applications Team within the EMPCS Division and will be located at the ECC in St Petersburg. The position will be responsible for providing application development and support for EMPCS users. This support includes:
Software development, modification and support.
Vendor software implementation and support.
Development and execution of test plans, scripts, and procedures.
Training and support of system users.
Troubleshooting and resolution of operational problems and issues.
Analysis and documentation of business requirements.
Software program design and development.
Periodic on-call support. (24 x 7)
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or 5yrs directly work related experience in lieu of degree
Four (4) plus years of application analysis/development or support work experience.
Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of systems and applications programming
Experience with Oracle SQL, & PL/SQL.
General knowledge of Energy Accounting or Transmission scheduling related functions
Strong oral and written communication skills and collaboration skills.
Strong at self-discovery of a new business environment in addition to traditional reading of design and programmer documents and verbal/white board descriptions from staff on-site.
Strong team player that works well with others.
Experience in supporting end users with use of technology.
Experience in troubleshooting IT application problems.
