  • Support the safe operation and maintenance of reciprocating engines and associated balance of plant of equipment-Perform various maintenance related duties including corrective and preventative maintenance
  • Read and interpret mechanical flow diagrams and associate piping.
  • Apply safe work practices and participation in the station's clearance procedures (LOTO)
  • Monitor the condition of the plant using Control Room Human Machine Interface (WOIS)
  • Safely execute mechanical maintenance to the plant equipment and notify Operations Supervisor of possible actions and hazards that would affect the safety of the public, plant personnel or other individuals
  • Review routine operating data and regularly communicate with Operations Supervisor of the general status of plant equipment, changes in plant process variables, instrument readings, equipment malfunction or other occurrence that may affect the safety, reliability or load capability of the unit-Keep accurate log, records and input data into work management system
  • Provide training and instruction to peers as required
  • Conduct assigned activities in a professional, businesslike manner and maintain control of station decorum at all times

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License
  • Ability to work in all types of weather extremes
  • Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Minimum 5 years of Power Plant Maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office products and programs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Journey-man Mechanic
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
