  • Develops and implements effective business strategies in support of company and department goals and objectives
  • Ensures customer service expectations are met or exceeded by each individual and the organization; sets high standards, removes organizational or process barriers that negatively impact customers
  • Maintains effective relationships with union business managers
  • Manages department budgets, expenses and variances
  • Ensures all estimates are performed according to the established area goals to meet efficiency and accuracy measures and within unit costs
  • In support of the work plan, ensures that work progresses and flows through the pipeline with the proper resources while monitoring the workflow/progression; monitors project life-cycle through project satisfaction survey results
  • Manages areas of tariff compliance, rules, and contracts; monitors compliance with Company and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulations, construction standards, and requirements
  • Promotes a flow of information and communication throughout the organization and encourages open expression of ideas and opinions to improve customer service
  • Collaborates with peers, supervisors, and other departments to establish and manage performance metrics
  • Creates, promotes, and manages a safety-first work environment and culture
  • Manages supervisors or individual contributors within assigned area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent utility experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of utility experience including 5 years of service planning, estimating, project management or other relevant experience
  • Must have a California Driver's License or obtain one prior to first day of employment
  • Travel approximately 20% of the time with occasional overnight stays

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • In-depth knowledge of California Public Utility Commission General Orders GO 95, 128, and 165 requirements and bargaining unit contracts
