Duties include responsibility for safely and efficiently troubleshooting and performing repairs, including low/medium/high electrical work of varying degrees, on all types of mining equipment used in a surface coal mining operation including mine-site facilities. All work will be performed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements to keep the equipment at an acceptable availability and reliability for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental commitments.
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of five years of surface mining experience.
- Must possess federal (MSHA) electrical certification low, medium, high.
- (We will consider candidates with less than one year of mining experience; classification would be at electrical journeyman trainee level.
