The document is made up of two parts. The first, provides a brief overview of the high-level sustainability practices in the area of wood-pole manufacturing, purchasing, management and disposal/reuse. The second part, accessible via the links in the tables, provide (where available) more detailed practices; details on specific practices; information on implementation costs, timing, strategies, lessons learned or resources.
The Alliance encourages utilities and suppliers to review the suggested list of practices in the report, identify gaps in their current activities and look to address them, starting with the guidance available in the additional detail tables.
