Performance Testing of HV Circuit Breakers using the CIBANO 500
Learn to measure and validate critical performance characteristics of HV Circuit Breakers, including timing, travel, command coil, and main contact condition.
Tuesday, April 15 – 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 17 – 11:30 a.m.

On-Line Monitoring of the Dielectric Health of Power Transformers
This tutorial will introduce Montrano, a transformer monitor that focuses on the health of the dielectric system by measuring true power factor of the bushings, partial discharges from the transformer, and high voltage transients from the system.
Tuesday, April 15 – 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 4:30 p.m.

A New Approach for Testing Instrument Transformers
New innovative test methods have come out which make CT or PT testing so much easier than before. Learn about how the new approach evaluates the accuracy class, ratio error and phase displacement of instrument transformers according to the IEEE, ANSI and IEC Standards.
Tuesday, April 15 – 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 17 – 12:30 p.m.

Assessing the Electrical Health of Transformers
Join a discussion about the different facets of a transformer's electrical health, and the elec-trical tests available to assess each one.
Tuesday, April 15 –12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 17 – 1:30 p.m.

Trying Digital Substations on for Size
Join in a discussion of implementing digital technology incrementally. You can use Smart Grid standards to your advantage. Examples of how to do it in small bites will be discussed.
Tuesday, April 15 –3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 10:30 a.m.

Automated Testing of Reclosers
As the technology of Recloser Controls has advanced, so should their testing. Learn about solutions to make it simple and efficient.
Tuesday, April 15 – 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 17 – 10:30 a.m.

Test the System, not the Element
Explore the shift in traditional relay testing to a more complete system test. Test the logic of the relay, not the capability of the microprocessor to perform math.
Tuesday, April 15 – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 16 – 11:30 a.m.
