FirstEnergy CEO: U.S. Electric Energy Policies Should Focus on Reliability, Affordability and Economic Expansion
Government policies are jeopardizing the reliability and affordability of a service that is vital to the nation's economy, productivity and competitiveness, according to FirstEnergy President and CEO Anthony J. Alexander.
Alexander spoke at today's (April 8) U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Institute for 21(st) Century Energy event in Washington, D.C. He said there are no easy choices, but he believes the nation can strike the right balance to ensure affordable, reliable and environmentally sound electric service, while also supporting economic expansion and keeping our country strong and secure.
