PSEG Long Island is committed to giving back to the people and the communities it serves. Employee engagement in our community is a top priority for the company and PSEG Long Island employees have taken up the mantle and are getting involved with local charity events and organizations.

It is working with communities and its neighbors to enrich the quality of life in its service territory.

On Sunday, April 27(th), hundreds of employees walked together for stronger, healthier babies at the March of Dimes - March for Babies in East Meadow. The money raised will be used for important research and programs on Long Island to help babies begin healthy lives. In a few short weeks, employees were able to raise more than $40, 000, making PSEG Long Island the top fundraising company for the East Meadow march.
"PSEG Long Island is a wonderful partner to the March of Dimes. Within just a few weeks of establishing their presence on Long Island, they committed to help all of the babies in our community," said Joanne Jones, Executive Director, Long Island Division, March of Dimes. "PSEG Long Island employees have dedicated countless hours of their own time to recruit captains, walkers and donors for the cause. We are so very fortunate to have friends such as PSEG Long Island to further our mission - of giving all babies the healthiest start in life."
To kick off the spring season, PSEG Long Island employees participated in a Flower Power fundraiser to benefit two local food banks on Long Island. In three weeks, more than 700 pictures of flowers were sold, raising more than $3,500 for Interfaith Nutrition and Island Harvest.
"The amazing fundraising efforts of PSEG Long Island employees and their desire to help The INN will absolutely make a difference in the lives of so many Long Islanders needing assistance," said Cynthia Sucich, director, INN. "Due to the high demand of food ... something so basic, your donation will help stock the shelves in our Guest Choice Pantry. We could never do what we do if it weren't for the generosity of companies like PSEG."
"We are extremely grateful for the money raised by PSEG Long Island's Flower Power for Hunger," said Randi Shubin Dresner, president and CEO of Island Harvest. "Contributions, such as these, help us purchase food and supplies to aid the 300,000 people, including 110,000 children, who face hunger on Long Island."
