City of New Westminster launches refreshed Energy Save New West website to enhance community energy program

March 8, 2017

The City of New Westminster is excited to announce the launch of a newly designed website to support its community energy program - Energy Save New West.

The new site has been redesigned to deliver a better online experience for visitors by making it easier for local residents and businesses to learn about Energy Save New West and access the various services, resources and solutions available through the program.

"Our new design incorporates clear navigation and a responsive layout for all platforms including mobile," said Norm Connolly, Community Energy Manager for City of New Westminster. "One of the features we're most excited about is our Community Map on the homepage which highlights the growing number of residents and businesses connected with Energy Save New West."

Some of the important elements of the enhanced website include:

  • Individual program pages for Existing Homes, New Homes, Multi-Unit Residential and Businesses;
  • New contact and registration forms designed to improve the online experience for visitors looking to actively participate in Energy Save New West.
  • A curated resource page designed for literature expansion including access to publications, best practice guides, forms and educational resources that support green building practices.

"Energy Save New West recently registered its 500th participant in the Existing Homes program," said Rod Carle, General Manager of New West Electrical Utility. "The enhanced website reflects the evolution and growth of Energy Save New West and builds on the support available to local residents and businesses who want to take action to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions."
