Transgard Hires Ryan Topping as Inside Sales Representative

May 10, 2017

TransGard, which has installed proven animal-prevention fencing at more than 2,500 substations in North America, announced that Ryan Topping has joined the company as its new Inside Sales Representative.

In that role, Topping will be responsible for new business and lead generation, sales and technical support for customers and independent rep networks, project quotation, client relations and more.

TransGard manufactures the only patented substation fencing that deters climbing animals by delivering a mild electric shock a humane technique that, according to IEEE, offers the most effective barrier against animal incursion. TransGard prevents outages caused by squirrels, snakes, raccoons and other animals.

"As interest in our fences has continued to grow, and as we've added outside sales rep networks to meet the demand, we're happy to be able to add Ryan as our central, connecting sales professional," said Bill Reichard, TransGard's General Manager.  "His experience in sales, communications, and customer care makes him an immediate asset to our team."

Topping comes to TransGard from a position as a beverage merchandiser and sales representative for Ace Distributing in York, Pa.  He holds a BS in Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania.

TransGard developed a patented fencing exclusively to eliminate substation outages caused by climbing animals. Since the company's founding in 1990, TransGard has installed fences at more than 2,500 substations in the U.S. and Canada.
