Description
Exp an award winning international engineering firm, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer 2 for an exciting position at our St Louis, MO office. This position provides the opportunity to expand your knowledge and expertise using leading edge design tools on new construction and renovation projects for Commercial, Institutional, Governmental, Aviation, Educational and Transportation and Telecommunications Facilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of electrical engineering for building systems.
- Manage a multi project workload. The successful candidate will be accountable for project coordination and quality, as well as budget adherence, and overall team communication
- Must possess strong communication skills.
- Responsible for design and production of construction documents from initial design to bidding, with limited oversight from senior staff.
- Responsible for drawing setup and design documentation.
- Lead multi-disciplinary team for electrically focused projects
- Perform coordination with other disciplines on all projects.
- Evaluate Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
- Perform projects within established project budgets and schedules.
- Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited university is mandatory.
- At least 4 plus years of experience.
- Experience with AGi32, SKM powertools and other design software
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- Revit and Microstation experience is a plus
- Microsoft Office
- Cost estimating experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
