This position is based out of our Blue Bell, PA headquarter location. Relocation is not required.
The Fleet Manager is responsible for supporting operations, allocating equipment and other resources, equipment utilization, supervision of fleet personnel, policies and procedures, assisting the Operations group, cooperation with Regional Fleet personnel, and providing a safe working environment. Travel throughout the U.S. is required.
The Fleet Manager is to act in the best interest of the company to support field operations engaged in revenue generating activity. The main objective is to maintain a productive, cost effective fleet operation within the boundaries of both long and short term goals.
Major Job Elements:
- Prepare Annual Capital Budget
- Manage Rental Program
- Logistics/Transportation
- Prepare and maintain equipment specifications
- Maintain tracking of asset purchase activity
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships
- Support operations' equipment needs
- Supervisor and operator training
- Support fleet programs and systems
- Participate in team events as fleet representative
Qualifications:
- College experience, business concentration preferred
- Five years plus direct experience in power utility industry is required or seven years related experience
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Technical and operational knowledge of construction, utility, and transportation equipment
- Interpersonal relationship skills in supervision, motivation, learning, and coaching areas
- Background in computers and fleet management systems
- Membership in a professional industry organization such as NAFA, AEMP, or SAE is helpful
