Description
- This position is primarily responsible for development of new battery storage projects.
- The developer will be primarily responsible for identifying market opportunities, cultivating a pipeline of viable, competitive battery storage projects and originating power purchase/sale agreements with wholesale customers.
- The successful candidate will have an understanding of battery technology, the energy storage industry and competitive environment.
- Industry contacts with industry customers and experience negotiating commercial agreements are a plus.
- Will lead and work with other team members in originating acquisition opportunities, supporting valuation and other due diligence activities across NextEra's matrixed structure, and lead cross-functional teams toward project execution.
- The successful candidate will be capable of origination through the tenacious pursuit of leads, pushing deals forward through diligent execution, and analyzing and articulating the economic value to internal stakeholders.
- The successful candidate will be able to work independently but also be a team player.
- Important skills include a bias for action, negotiations, project management, technical capability and communications skills.
- Superb negotiation, finance and customer management/care skills are required.
- Considerable travel is required.

- High School Grad / GED:Required;Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Work Exp:Required;Experience:8+ years;
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of related experience
