PowerPlan helps optimize the financial performance of our customers' assets by developing strategic solutions for complex problems. The Solutions Consulting Team is looking for a Senior Industry Expert who will work with clients to understand their business objectives, priorities, challenges and processes, develop solution recommendations, roadmaps, and client value propositions. Responsibilities also include leading client discovery activities, delivering executive presentations, acting as SME on PowerPlan solutions, and influencing account strategy. You will also be the "face" of PowerPlan at prospective customers, and will play a critical role in gathering requirements and presenting recommendations for initiatives that are vital for the future growth of our company.

We are looking for a roll-up-the-sleeves person who can operate tactically to drive requirements gathering and develop the solution, while also thinking strategically to successfully position the value to the client. This person must be highly collaborative, possess an inquisitive spirit, and be able to successfully manage ambiguity and frequently changing priorities. This person must also be able to quickly build credibility and differentiate our solutions. This position will have visibility and interaction with the most senior leaders at clients and within PowerPlan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Development: Initiate new relationships and opportunities through existing professional network, participation in company sponsored marketing events, and support GM/Sales Executive during early stage sales pursuit messaging.
  • Lead discovery sessions: Lead interviews and facilitate workshops to understand client objectives, pain points, priorities. Determine if we have a working solution. Understand the value drivers for PowerPlan's suite of products. Produce current state and proposed future state process maps, and document goals, challenges, priorities as an outcome of sessions. Depending on level of experience, shadow a Senior Consultant in these sessions in preparation to lead them independently.
  • Build a business case: Within the first 6 months, be able to calculate and defend the operational impact, cost, and transformative value of a proposed solution.
  • Deliver Executive Level Presentations: Present the above to executives and key team members, working collaboratively with client along the way to confirm message, positioning, value
  • Collaborate with GM/Sales Executives: To determine ongoing opportunity strategy throughout the life of the deal.
  • Participate in customer and market research: Support organizational efforts to better understand both customers and markets, develop solution fit and value hypotheses and conduct general research to help advance organizational goals.
  • Continue to expand depth and breadth of PowerPlan Product and market knowledge: It is not expected that the candidate be an expert in all PowerPlan solutions but the position requires a continuous effort to expand the depth and breadth of both product and market knowledge. This includes competitor knowledge and market drivers as well as regular communication and collaboration with other parts for the organization like product management and professional services, and may require additional research, participation in product councils and other additional activities as may be determined by organization management.

  • Adhoc travel up to 60%
