Description
Candidates must be able to load, unload, and move materials within or near the manufacturing area, performing any combination of the following duties:
Job Duties
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, and shelves by hand.
- Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, dolly, or other device.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
Requirements
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or its equivalent with at least 6 months of experience in the field or in a related area. Knowledge of safety practices and able to lift heavy packages and objects. Must be able to operate forklift or other materials handling equipment.
