Description
Delta Star, Inc. a leading transformer manufacturing company is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Test Technician.
The job duties will include performing daily testing in all aspects of medium power transformers and mobile substations in high voltage laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Routine and design testing of transformers and controls
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve test/equipment problems
- Prepare detailed test plans for scheduled transformers based on input from the equipment instruction manuals, and work instructions
- Maintain & repair test equipment. Ensure equipment is calibrated and schedule upcoming calibrations
Requirements
Requirements:
- AS Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 years equivalent experience with an understanding of electrical theory required
- Knowledge of transformer testing related industry Standards and Procedures;
- Excellent analytical skills
- Lifting, bending, and standing for periods of time are required
