Description
Supports and matures Milwaukee's server, storage, network, and voice infrastructures and associate services. Leads assigned projects, mentors Infrastructure members, and contributes to the overall positive disposition of the Information Technology department and Milwaukee Electric Tool. This role consists of strategy, design, build and support.
- Expertise with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, Office 365, and Dynamics CRM.
- Perform maintenance on HP and Cisco servers, Netapp storage, Lync, and Cisco networks infrastructure and associated application services, including but not limited to email, database, intranet and Internet.
- Expertise working with carriers to provision, install and operate both voice and data networks.
- Expertise in many of the following technologies, including BGP, OSPF, SIP, DNS, Domain hosting, Certificate mgmt, TCP/IP, MPLS, Video Conferencing, QoS, and security best practices.
- Strong background in in supporting Windows Sever 2008R2 and 2012R2 running on Vmware VSphere; Systems Center experience a Plus
- Demonstrated success leading complex projects
- Identify and resolve complex systems problems to ensure seamless business operations and effective business processes.
- Plan, analyze and implement complex upgrades to the network servers that support our daily business infrastructure at our branch's, plants and distribution center.
- Must be able to work under pressure to ensure on-target project completion and maximum uptime of the server, storage, and application systems.
- Based on aligned business priorities, identify opportunities for improvement, design solutions, and coordinate or perform execution.
- Perform systems capacity and disaster recovery planning.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft systems and services; including Exchange, Sharepoint, IIS and SQL.
- 4+ years of experience designing, implementing and supporting Cisco networks; including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wireless RF best practices.
- Expertise and application of networking fundamentals; including TCP/IP, routing, name resolution, etc.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering the highest quality solutions and service.
