Description

AECOM is seeking a Workforce Analyst in our Construction Services group. The Workforce Analyst will report into the Strategic Workforce Analytics team in Denver, Colorado. This position can be located in any AECOM office or virtual location.

The Strategic Workforce Analytics team provides reporting and analysis support to the Human Resources Operations, Centers of Expertise and Leadership teams. We deliver routine dashboards & reporting and respond to unique requests for ad hoc analysis and data visualization. We drive and streamline processes by implementing reporting efficiencies and automation, and maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports & analysis. We support HR initiatives, strategies and programs through the utilization of predictive analytics and measurement of ROI for our talent programs to ensure meaningful organizational impact.

While under general supervision, the Workforce Analyst will be responsible for reporting and data analysis in a multi-functional business environment for the Strategic Workforce Analytics team. Responsibilities include developing, improving and automating existing reports and models, and assessing results through data investigation, analysis and evaluation. Prepare professional summaries and recommendations to tell stories from analysis results. Work performed in this position will be varied, may be somewhat difficult in character, and require discretion and independent judgment. Duties are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Confers with supervisor on unusual matters. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments.

The successful candidate for this position should be organized and must possess well developed communication, analytical, and project management skills. Candidate needs to be able to set priorities and work to strict deadlines. Candidate should have good understanding of how mergers & acquisitions and organizational restructuring impacts data. Candidate should have an understanding of how to deal with data from disparate systems and merge appropriately.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, business analytics, other related degree, or demonstrated equivalent
  • 4 years of experience in human resources, data analysis or other related experience
  • Strong interest in data, metrics, analysis, trends with excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience designing data visualizations to tell stories in professional summaries and presenting/discussing results of performance/analysis to all levels of leadership
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with strong skills in organization and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to understand and learn software applications easily
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with experience in pivot tables, developing formulas, automating reports, and data manipulation (collect, organize, integrate from disparate systems, clean, format and validate)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business analytics or related discipline
  • Experience using Tableau or other data visualization software
  • Experience with predictive analytics, statistical data modeling and advanced data analysis
  • Experience working with sensitive worker related data
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions and an understanding of how that impacts workforce data
