Control Room Operator will report to the Team Lead, Operations you will be responsible for monitoring the various systems through the DCS, Delta V System; maintaining product specifications and directing the Field Operators.
This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and is eligible for:
Relocation to Calgary, Edmonton, or Fort McMurray
Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out and Accommodations Program with charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton
How will you make your mark?
- Learn the layout, purpose and operating parameters of each system
- Operate a DCS Control Panel
- Work with the Shift Team Leader to asses incidents
- Assist Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairing of plant equipment
- Troubleshoot process problems and upsets
Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years of related oil sands experience
- In-depth knowledge of extraction, along with experience in 3+ posts
- Mentorship and Lead Hand training considered an asset
- Interest in or accomplishments in Lean Six Sigma
