This full-time entry level Health Safety and Environmental Technician job will provide you with the opportunity to work with one of the leading companies in Alaska with one of the most developed safety cultures in the industry.

In this position, you will be developed into a well-rounded HSE professional with a strong technical background that will qualify you to take on some of our North Slope HSE Advisor positions as they become available.

This is a juniors HSE Technician position that is mostly office based but as part of your development you will be required to spend time in our Anchorage Fab Shop as a Field HSE technician

Responsibilities:

  • In the office you will assist in the implementation and administration of various safety programs, and follow detailed guidelines, drawings and instructions to complete routine technical tasks.
  • Under immediate supervision performs assigned tasks from detailed instructions, established policies and procedures.
  • Assists others in implementing and monitoring industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.
  • Data entry, management, and analysis for our core HSE processes
  • Support HSE compilation of Statistical reports (e.g. TRIR rates, monthly training graph, and other various report requests)
  • Office Ergonomic Evaluator: Your field time in the Anchorage Fab Shop will provide you with the opportunity to work with a multi-discipline team directly impacting the health and safety of a team of skilled welders, fabricators, electricians, insulators, and coaters.
  • Your essential field duties and responsibilities:
    • Implement and monitor industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.
    • Monitor employee exposure to noise, chemicals, and radiation through industrial hygiene surveys and inspections.
    • Identify hazardous conditions, develop solutions, and work with operational partners to enact controls.
    • Respond to incidents involving hazardous material releases, personnel injury/illness, conduct appropriate investigations, and develop and implement effective corrective actions.
    • Train employees on a wide variety of corporate, client, and legal requirements in health, safety, and environment.
