Description
The Software Engineer will accelerate the development of Honeywell simulation technology and its successful application in new markets, with an emphasis on refining and software as a service (SaaS).
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain the current UniSim Design simulation technology.
- Mature and extend the new equation-oriented (UniSim EO) simulation platform.
- Design and implement infrastructure enabling refinery simulation. This includes, but is not limited to, assay data import and propagation, property blending, and mechanisms for externally developed models and domain rules.
- Evolve the new EO platform with services such as data collection/analysis, alternative UX/UI, online license management, reusable model discovery and vending, and on-demand provisioning.
- Transition UniSim from a desktop application architecture to a SaaS architecture leveraging Honeywell Sentience cloud and integrating with customer IP and IT systems to leverage the value of asset models for predictive analytics and decision support.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in software development, preferably with a focus on engineering software, automated workflow, and cloud deployment.
- BSc in Chemical or Software Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
- Advanced C++.
- Advanced .NET and ASP.NET, including COM interop.
- HTML5 technologies, particularly client-side.
- Advanced UX/UI experience.
- Must be a self-starter.
