The Opportunity
Our South Bow - Liquids Operations team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver as a Pipeline Technician supporting Liquids Operations in our Cimarron North Area, based in Cushing, OK.
Reporting to the Lead Cimarron North Maintenance, this position will support day-to-day Pipeline Operations including Line Locates and various Mechanical duties as well as provide 24/7 On Call support.
What You'll Do
- Drain down and pressurization of pipelines and stations
- Performing line locates on company pipelines
- Construction watch, active control, excavation coordination and operation, maintenance and repair of pipeline, valves and operators, regulators, relief valves, reciprocating and centrifugal compression, gas process measurement equipment, control systems and end devices, all within company operating procedures
- Actively participate in a team environment by acquiring and applying required qualifications, supporting the development of team members
- Perform administrative duties and assisting with budgeting, planning, problem solving, prioritization and decision-making processes
- Safely perform all work activities including operate company vehicle
- Perform right away and other pipeline facility maintenance tasks
- Read, interpret, and update drawings and schematics (P&ID, electrical, valve charts and alignment sheets)
- Properly use a variety of hand and power tools, and other specialty equipment including line finders and leak detectors
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of vocational / technical training from a recognized institution
- 5 years related experience with Pipelines
- Must be able to meet and maintain company-defined operator qualifications
- Qualified, or able to qualify, as a DOT Operator
- Proven Knowledge of mechanical and electrical test equipment used for troubleshooting equipment such as valve operators, transmitters, switches, pressure and temperature end devices
- Strong safety record
This position requires candidates to:
- Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
- Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US, and Mexico)
- Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training will be required
- Subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended workdays and/or workweeks for emergency response purposes
