DTE Biomass Energy (DTEBE) develops, owns and operates renewable energy projects throughout the United States. Our company converts biogas generated at landfills and at dairy farms into clean, renewable electricity or renewable natural gas (RNG). Fort Bend Power Producers, LLC. is a landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility that utilizes landfill gas in Needville, TX. The facility has an 8.0 MMCFD LFG processing plant consisting (2) blowers, (2) Ingersoll Rand reciprocating gas compressors, (1) Worthington reciprocating gas compressor and (2) new Vilter Screw Compressors installed in 2018. The plant has gas treatment equipment to remove H2S, Oxygen, water and CO2. The pay range for this position is $27.16 - $33.07.
Job Summary
Location: Needville, TX
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of a landfill gas collection and processing facility. Work is performed under general supervision of a Facility Manager, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Conducts day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of a landfill gas (LFG) collection system and LFG delivery pipeline
- Performs equipment inspections, collects samples of LFG wells and gas collection system, and makes adjustments to optimize well flow as necessary
- Collects oil, water, wastewater, gas, and air samples for analysis
- Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs
- Adheres to company and project specific health and safety requirements; participates in monthly safety audits and inspections
- Maintains administrative records including logbook, filing system for drawings, instruction books and manuals, spare parts inventory, and records
- Supports, assists, and directs the work of contractors on-site
- Routinely operates a motor vehicle and/or off-road vehicle on undeveloped terrain
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possesses a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and recommend sound alternatives
- Ability to work overtime including call outs outside of normal business hours, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
Other Qualifications
Preferred:
- Previous military experience
- A technical degree or certificate in an electrical or mechanical field is preferable, or equivalent work experience with electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiar with gas compression and/or gas transportation
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and instrument control systems including equipment such as motors, blowers, controls, and pumps
